Building the Elemental Church
The first churches met in the catacombs of Rome. Not pleasant, but it worked for them, and the congregants did what they had to do to keep their beliefs alive. Centuries passed, and magnificent cathedrals and austere Puritan meeting houses both served their purpose. Now it is time to change again, but not the roof over our heads…just change to water’s ways. Our service includes a water communion ritual that points the way to building a church for our time. This will be our first, in-person service since March 5 of 2020, and a great time to re-imagine a church that is built for our age.
