Adult Education & Exploration

Our Adult Education and Exploration Programs strive to help
members meet the challenges of living in a nation that is in
turmoil!
– We often do book groups and recently studied the prize winning “Frederick Douglas: Prophet of Freedom.”
– Our recent day-long seminar on Aging and Thriving with Grace is a good example of our community outreach in the form of education.
– We also do Real Bible Study that helps us talk respectfully with people who misuse the Bible. One of our missions is to rescue the Bible and Jesus the Man from religious fundamentalists.
– Our History of Unitarian Universalism course looks at the history of Christianity and shows that Unitarians and Universalists have been around since day-one, and often in trouble for their progressive beliefs!
– Next up: A Dream Work Group that puts our human fascination with dreams, together with the guidance of the Association for the Study of Dreams (ASD) started by UU minister, Jeremy Taylor. Dreamwork is fun, safe, and
transformational!
