Inclusivity
Welcoming Congregation Program
At the UUCF we are intentional about welcoming lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
And in fact, it is unlikely you would find a UU church anywhere in America that was not a “welcoming congregation.” Many UU ministers are LGBTQ+ and our faith welcomes diversity both in the way people think, and in the way they live and love!
Our congregation also practices the joyful welcoming of people with mental health challenges. Such is family life!
Anti-Racism
Ever-aware of racism in America, past and present, our congregation strives to be the beloved community envisioned by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Our services often feature readings and poetry from people of color, and also sermons about the lives of Black Americans, many famous, some almost lost to history.
Our anti-racism is free of the current philosophy of “shame and blame” that research now shows is creating more racism, not less!
Join us and revel in a truly hate-free atmosphere where we discover our common humanity, and work towards ever-greater unity.

AIM Committee
Accessibility and Inclusion efforts at UUCF include adaptive programs to support persons with hearing, visual, mobility, communication/learning, allergies and mental health disabilities. Sermons, committee/task force education and Religious education about these issues are ongoing. Our intent is to better welcome, embrace, integrate and support people with disabilities and their families in our faith communities.
