Each Sunday, we recite in our covenant, “We gather as a sacred, intentional community.” Just because we are sacred and intentional doesn’t mean things don’t get difficult. Although churches are often called “beloved communities,” it doesn’t mean we are devoid of disagreement. In fact, being part of a beloved community can be messy, but can also reward us with lifelong friendships.
